The EA game based on the story of boy wizard, Harry Potter is finally releasing on June 30 worldwide. When release date of the movie was postponed, EA had announced that it would be forced to delay the game release too. The delay cost EA games $120 million. The game will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Nintendo Wii, DS, Windows, Mac OS and mobile platforms. Developed by EA Bright Light, the game was the one of the most awaited games of the year due to huge fan-following of the history-making Harry Potter series.
Half-Blood prince will feature several game modes other than story-based campaign. For the first time in the series, you’ll be able to fight your friends via two-player wand duels. The controls are deeply integrated with motion of Wii Remote and Nunchuk. You can attack enemy and cast defensive spells by making gestures with Nunchuk. Once you get familiar with this, HBP can be fun. Interestingly, the game also supports Nintendo’s new MotionPlus 3D Remote which was displayed at the E3 expo. The attachment will be used to transform user motions into the game at 1:1 ratio.
Be the seeker game mode features on-rails racing in which you play Harry riding on his broom. Wii Remote must be used to make your way through checkpoints. Rumor is that EA have included live commentary exclusively for this mode.
The game was showcased at E3 and managed to turn some heads with its wonderful gameplay and “Suitable for Everybody” rating from ESRB.
