In recent years it has become hard to define what a television does and what a computer does. Technology has become consumed with the notion of combining the technologies together.
Well to further blur that definition Hulu, a video streaming site has now created applications that can be installed into the Windows and Mac operating systems, to allow consumers an even easier way to be able to watch television from the comfort of their computer. There are four different products currently being tested in the Hulu labs, but the only one ready and available for download is the streaming application.
There are a few limitations to getting the application to run efficiently on the desktop of a Mac or Windows system. Your system will need to have certain standards like an Intel Pentium Core Duo with a 1.8GHz processor and 2GB of RAM running Windows XP. However if you are a Mac user you will need an additional 0.2GHz of RAM and also need to be running OS X 10.4 (named Tiger).
Once these standards are in place it is as simple as double clicking to get it operating. It has full screen capability too so you can enjoy video streaming at the same standard you would get on a traditional TV. So if you prefer to use your computer the Hulu application will be a “must have”.
